Batten Strapping For SOLARIG

This product is recommended for those installing Solarig 156 and Solarig 182 greenhouse coverings. Also works great with 9 mil and 12 mil woven greenhouse coverings. This product is comprised of the same material as the SOLARIG greenhouse coverings. Installing this product on the exterior of your single layer covered structure keeps the greenhouse covering more securely installed to your frame. The additional pressure from this strapping downward on your plastic presses the plastic more firmly to the frame reducing its movement and wear and tear over its years of operation. 

  • Roll Size: 3" wide x 1000 ft. Long
  • Comes on a Hollow Cardboard Cylinder
  • Recommended with Installation of Solarig 156 and Solarig 182 Greenhouse Plastic (when using a single layer system)
  • Can be secured with Wiggle Wire and Aluminum Channel
  • Can also be used as a Roll-up Side Anti-Billow Strap to Keep Roll-up Side from Moving in the Wind

It is a Must-Have

I had to install these twice, and here is why: My aluminum channel is from a different supplier and does not seem to offer enough of a -pinch- to keep the strap in tight. I installed the straps tight with about 6 in. left on each end, and they slid out from behind the spring wire after a few minutes. The fix was a matter of doubling the straps over the spring wire and installing an additional length of spring wire on top of that (as suggested by Tunnel Vision Hoops experts). I also used a TEK screw on one that was not cooperating with me. I made sure to leave an extra foot or so on each end. I may end up trimming them all back, but we will see. This product really makes a difference on my Solarig cover. I would not install without them!

Snug and Tight

The batten straps have really made the greenhouse cover snug and tight! Very helpful in windy conditions. I highly recommend this product to extend the life of your greenhouse. Everyone I dealt with at Tunnel Vision Hoops is knowledgeable, very helpful, polite, courteous and I received prompt delivery!
